Regions
Brazil
Partners has been working in Brazil since 1965, when our first Brazil Chapter was founded. Since then, our Brazil Chapters have been integral in helping pass important disability rights legislation in the country. In addition, we’ve implemented world-renowned sport-for-development programs including Vencedoras, a sports-based employment and entrepreneurship training for adolescent girls. For over a decade, Partners worked to combat trafficking of children and youth in Brazil, and in 2013, hosted the Girls Empowerment Seminar in Rio de Janeiro to promote the rights of girls and young women to participate in all spaces of public life. Since 100,000 Strong in the Americas launched in 2014, the Innovation Fund has awarded 24 grants to 157 higher education institutions working in teams in 43 U.S states and 13 Brazilian states. In 2014, Partners celebrated 50 years of service in the Americas in Florianopolis, Brazil, in a joint event with the Association of Binational Centers (ABLA) under the theme of “Going Further and Faster.”

Overview
The Pará Chapter, founded on May 5, 1966, is a non-profit, open-ended civil society based in Belém, Pará, Brazil. Now in its 37th year, the Pará Chapter has developed activities that have had an impact on improving the quality of life of our people, by carrying out projects aimed at the pressing needs of the local community. On the other hand, the Chapter runs university liaison programs offering scholarships, exchange cooperation with local universities with a view to strengthening training actions, continuing education, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, as well as extension and research activities, strengthening the educational ties between the partnerships. Our sister state, Missouri, is located in the Midwest of the United States, with Jefferson City as its capital, making up the Pará-Missouri Chapter partnership.

Overview
The Rio Grande do Norte (RN) Chapter is an association of people with a common interest in serving society through international cooperation activities, specially with the State of Maine. Traditionally we have focused on exchanges of students, artists, professionals of various areas, and we strongly cherish the personal relationships that develop from all exchanges. We are excited about the new possibilities that will arise from the network. One of our most successful projects addresses the Domestic Violence issue. Since 2004, we´ve had strong experience exchanges with Maine specialists in this field and we´re currently developing a new phase that will deal with the consequences of domestic violence in the workplace.

Overview
Partners of the Americas Rio Grande do Sul Chapter develops all the projects based on the Partners of the Americas philosophy.
We are a strong network of volunteers and we develop our partnerships with our sister state, Indiana. We are interested in a wide range of activities- general culture, education, sports, government programs, youth, leadership, environment, general sciences (social and applied), etc.

Overview
Our Chapter is composed of members who worked and or have been developing their own social-cultural and environmental/architecture project and seek in our Chapter the support they need. We have projects involving environment, youth, people with disabilities, maternal child healthcare, architecture creating 'green" communities, and cinema. One of our ongoing projects is designing a number of activities for Global Youth Volunteer Day, “O Dia Global de Voluntario Jovem”. The activities are: fóruns, palestras, workshops nas escolas e curso nas escolas publicas para Jovens Empreendedores junto com SEBRAE.
We promote this program on the internet, radio, television and newspapers which are intended to make the public aware of the importance of volunteerism and engaging youth in these activities. Activities are related to the 8 Millennium goals, such as: (1) combating hunger; (2) basic quality of education for all; (3) reduce infant mortality;(4) improve child health; (5) combat malaria, AIDS, and other diseases; and(6) address issues of environment and its relation to quality of life. Our Chapter works closely with the Illinois Chapter on the Film Fest - a ten day festival of Brazilian films focused on social issues. Directors travel to Chicago to discuss Brazilian cinema and documentaries, animation, full length, and shorts are shown at a number of venues throughout the State of Illinois. In addition to expanding into other U.S. states a festival of American films on these issues is planned for São Paulo.

Partners Brasil is the national association of Chapters and representation in Brazil, operating under the umbrella of Partners of the Americas. It serves as a unifying platform for the various Partners chapters located throughout the country. Partners of the Americas is an international network that promotes social and economic development, cultural understanding, and citizen diplomacy in the Americas.
Partners Brasil plays a crucial role in fostering collaboration and coordination among the Brazilian Chapters, which are spread across different states and regions. By bringing together these Chapters, Partners Brasil enables the sharing of resources, knowledge, and best practices, creating a strong network of individuals, organizations, and communities committed to advancing social progress in Brazil.
The association works towards the vision of a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable society in Brazil. It collaborates with local partners, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and businesses to implement projects and programs that address critical issues in areas such as education, health, entrepreneurship, environmental conservation, and cultural exchange.

The 100,000 Strong in the Americas (100K) Innovation Fund expands opportunities for higher education institutions to create partnerships and launch innovative student exchange and training programs. This opens access to underrepresented student populations, improves workforce development training, increases public-private investment, and strengthens people-to-people ties between the United States and Latin America and the Caribbean.
The 100,000 Strong in the Americas initiative equips and builds a thriving, skilled workforce across the Americas through multi-sector partnerships and innovative regional education collaboration. Equipping students with technical and linguistic skills through exchange programs, 100,000 Strong helps develop a more skilled workforce and strengthens regional economies. In 100,000 Strong, the U.S. Government, the private sector and regional governments, and higher education institutions work together to strengthen regional prosperity and U.S. economic security.
