FOR PARTNERS OF THE AMERICAS FACILITATORS

How do I sign up to be a Facilitator?

First, let Partners of the Americas know your interest by completing the Interest Form! Our staff will send you additional instructions.

Is this a volunteer role or is it paid?

As a partner for this program, any facilitator who is affiliated with Partners of the Americas and completes the program will receive a stipend of over $800 USD for doing so.

How will EFTW and Partners of the Americas know that I’m with Partners of the Americas to receive my stipend?

When you create your account in the Facilitator Portal, you MUST select that you are affiliated with Partners of the Americas. This is the only way of verifying.

Do I have to recruit student learners, or will Partners of the Americas assist with this?

As a Facilitator, you are responsible for recruiting student learners to participate in the program. Partners of the Americas can provide some marketing material upon request. The goal is to have between 10 to 20 student learners per Facilitator and program.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION

Is there a target audience of student learners for this program?

Yes, while all student learners are welcomed, the program would like to encourage Facilitators to recruit student learners that have been historically underrepresented in tech, such as girls, Hispanic/Latinos, African-Americans, etc.

Will I receive any support related to DEI?

Yes! We will invite a DEI expert to bring you a DEI component in the form of a webinar or training focused on practices to implement when working with diverse youth groups.

How do I document student learner demographics for DEI purposes?

Partners of the Americas will provide a form to Facilitators asking about aggregated demographic information about your student learners.

Is the DEI training component a requirement?

No, while highly encouraged to do so, participating in the DEI training component of this program is at the discretion of the Facilitator. Consider this as a benefit to leverage professionally.
