A visit to Programa Vencer / A Ganar by Toro of Rio's de Janeiro's Flamengo will live in the memories of Vencer participants and the program staff. According to program intern Flavia Moreira: "I was impressed by the willingness of the player Toro to give up half of his day off to talk with the youth about his life trajectory before becoming a professional player, especially considering that he can only visit with his family two times a week. What would make a young player to take this type of initiative? I believe it is because Toro identifies with the Vencer youth, that like him in spite the difficulties, need to grab hold of opportunities with force and perseverance."
