Utilizing the natural resources available in the area, simple, sustainable home gardens were created for the purpose of supplementing each family's diet. Composting, environmental awareness, nutrition, and confidence in the possibility of helping self, family and community in food production, as well as economic benefits from produce sales and related small business potential were are all part of the program. The method adapted to all cultural and geographical situations. The only monetary investment necessary was seed appropriate to the climate and culture.
