Since its inception in December 2010, the International Youth Ambassadors Network (IYAN) has been working to establish a hemispheric network of young leaders who connect across cultures to increase youth-led volunteer service initiatives. At the 2nd World Summit for Youth Volunteering in Colombia last November, representatives from this network presented in front of a global audience about the importance of youth-driven networks to promote volunteerism. They shared their personal experiences as Youth Ambassadors and how they work together, overcome challenges and strive towards their goal. For more information on the IYAN click here. The Youth
Ambassador Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau
of Education and Cultural Affairs and the U.S. Embassies and Consulates
in participating countries, and is administered by Partners of the
Americas.
