Education and Culture: Small Project Grants

Project assistance funds are available to support community based projects that are planned and executed by both sides of a chapter partnership of Partners of the Americas.  Up to US$3,000 will be awarded to selected projects that demonstrate matching cash or in-kind contributions. To qualify for the participation in the Education and Culture Program, your Partners chapter must be up to date with its annual membership dues.

Priority Areas

In accordance with US Department of State priority areas, Partners will prioritize funding Small Project Grants with activities that:

  • increase English language learning;
  • increase and strengthen university partnerships; and
  • engage youth and promote economic empowerment and social inclusion.

    Funds are available for activities outside these priority areas, but in limited quantities. Staff will work with you to review the goals of your project and how they fit within the priorities.


    Application Process

    Small Grants will be competed on a quarterly basis with the following submission deadlines:

    • May 31, 2013
    • July 31, 2013
    • October 31, 2013
