December 3-5, 2011, the A Ganar Team conducted a 4 day training of trainers with our two implementing organizations: Women’s Business Group and the Letitia Vriesde Sportpromotie. Members of The Human Development Foundation who adapted and translated A Ganar materials for Suriname were present for the training as well. We had a total of 14 participants at the training, including coordinators and facilitators.
A Ganar conducted a very successful launch on Dec 6th in Paramaribo. 75+ people attended including youth, representatives from USAID, IDB, several NGOs, the press and others were there as well. We are very excited about our pilot programs that began with 25 youth for each organization in Paramaribo on January 30, 2012.
