IT Internship Program – President’s Office
Partners of the Americas is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that for more than 50 years has been bringing together people, organizations, and expertise to develop lasting solutions to our hemisphere’s toughest challenges. Partners’ International Office is located in Washington, DC and is currently looking for enthusiastic students to participate in our 2018 IT Internship program to assist our President’s Office & CEO. This position calls for an energetic and innovative thinker with excellent research, writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
Agriculture and Food Security Programs - Outreach and Communications Internship
Partners of the Americas, a nonprofit organization engaged in development programs in the Western Hemisphere, seeks an intern to support its Agriculture and Food Security (AFS) team. The AFS team manages USAID programs focused on agriculture, economic development, nutrition, food security, and natural resource management. AFS works primarily in the countries of Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala and Haiti
Youth Engagement Intern
As an intern for the Youth Engagement unit, you will support tasks leading up to the implementation of YE programs including planning and design, and will support the day to day activities required to execute the promotion and selection, orientation, travel and follow-up phases of the programs taking place in the "sending" country, Washington, DC, and a "host" US state/Latin American country. Interns may also support other youth related initiatives.
Program Development Internship
Partners of the Americas seeks a self- motivated and dedicated intern to provide integral support to its Program Development (PD) unit. The PD unit works with Partners staff and network of chapters, organizations, and institutions throughout the Western Hemisphere to identify and respond to funding opportunities around a broad array of technical, thematic, and development issues.
Higher Education/Study Abroad Program Intern
Partners of the Americas seeks a passionate and knowledgeable intern to support its higher education programs focused on study abroad. The 100,000 Strong in the Americas and Capacity Building Grants for U.S. Study Abroad are programs that aim to help higher education institutions (HEIs) create and/or expand their capacity for study abroad programming. Through grant competitions, both programs help HEIs develop partnerships that make international study more broadly available to all students.

Partners of the Americas seeks a detail -oriented and dedicated intern to provide integral support to its Finance and Administration (F&A) unit. F&A oversees all of the financial, administrative and HR functions for Partners of the Americas, domestically and overseas. This is a unique learning experience for those studying finance or accounting to expand their skills in the non-profit sector.
Communications and Membership Unit, Event Planning Intern
Partners of the Americas seeks a self-motivated and knowledgeable Event Planning Intern in our Communications and Membership unit. The Event Planning intern will have the opportunity to assist with the planning, organizing, and marketing of key events happening in 2018. Partners’ events bring together hundreds of participants from the government, non-profit and private sectors and from all the countries of the Americas. This is a great opportunity for interns seeking hands-on experience.
Membership Unit, Membership & Development Intern
Partners of the Americas seeks a self-motivated, creative, and knowledgeable intern to provide support to our growing membership network by developing new processes, tools, and resources that help the network connect internationally and execute effective development projects. The Partners of the Americas network consists of volunteer Chapters, individuals, organizations, and higher education institutions that build lasting partnerships to serve and change lives in our local and hemispheric-wide communities.
